UX Writer

Location: Office-Based Burlington, Ontario / Home-Based Canada

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and creative UX Writer to join our global Digital Design team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting clear, concise, and engaging copy that guides users through our digital products and services. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, researchers, and developers to ensure that the voice, tone, and messaging across our platforms are aligned with our brand and provide an intuitive and seamless experience for users around the world. This is a unique opportunity to shape the way users interact with a global brand and make a meaningful impact on the user experience.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Develop user-centered copy that enhances the digital user experience, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a strong brand voice across all digital touchpoints

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, product managers, researchers, and developers to create copy that aligns with user journeys and design goals.

  • Write and edit copy for a range of deliverables including digital experience interfaces, error messages, instructional text, onboarding flows, and other microcopy.

  • Apply user insights from research to craft copy that addresses customer pain points, improves usability, and elevates the overall user experience.

  • Ensure content is culturally relevant, and localized where necessary, for a global audience.

  • Advocate for a consistent tone of voice across all digital touchpoints while adhering to brand guidelines.

  • Work closely with the design team to ensure copy supports design choices, enhances usability, and elevates the visual aesthetic of the product.

  • Continuously test and refine content based on feedback, usability testing, and user research.

  • Stay updated on UX best practices, trends, and innovations to bring new ideas and improvements to the team.

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Design, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience as a UX Writer, Content Designer, or in a similar role.

  • Proven experience working in digital design teams, with a strong portfolio showcasing UX writing for digital products.

  • Ability to write concise, engaging copy that simplifies complex processes and enhances user experiences.

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, with experience writing for web, mobile and other digital interfaces.

  • Experience working with and writing for global audiences.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Familiarity with content management systems, design tools (such as Figma or Sketch), and UX research methodologies is a plus.

  • Knowledge of agile methodologies to navigate dynamic project environments and effectively contribute to iterative design processes.
