WHO YOU ARE

The Head of Operations is a critical role at Color Factory whose main objective is to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for both our guests and employees. You are able to create a strategic plan that supports the CEO’s vision and reduce it to actionable tasks for efficient tactical execution. You are a strong servant leader that understands the importance of enabling the team for success. You can create a safe environment, founded on trust, where failure is tolerated, but you also view any failures of those that report to you as a personal failure and you assess the causes to prevent in the future.


You are consistent, approachable, curious, humble, collaborative, accountable and trustworthy. You lead by example and model the behaviors and values that are expected of the leaders and teams that report to you. You communicate clearly and transparently to ensure everyone understands the “why” behind decisions and initiatives.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will lead the strategy, direction, and management of our onsite business units and all the support departments like Facilities and Customer Service. You will lead the core of our business through proven leadership through our onsite team, corporate team. You will be a part of designing and implementing the company strategy and implementing goals and plans to ensure that our guests have incredible experiences and continue to share us with their communities.


You are a people-first leader that can wrangle the masses to deliver a world-class experience for our guests with the operational chops to execute rigorous growth plans that adapt and change to the ever-changing experiential industry.


Duties will include:

  • Collaborate with Exec Leadership Team (XLT) to develop objectives for the department

  • Provide regular performance updates to senior leadership to reach objectives

  • Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes to meet goals

  • Take extreme accountability by using data to track and show progress of goals

  • Ensure business practices lead to company goals and maximize efficiency

  • Maintain a working knowledge of all aspects of our unique operations

  • Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions

  • Manage the quarterly and annual budgets given to optimize the P&L

  • Mentor and train corporate and onsite leadership teams

  • Create a safe and inclusive work environment for all staff and leaders

  • Provide a clear and attainable growth path for all employees

  • Work closely with People & Culture to implement and refine policies and procedures

  • Travel regularly to our current and future locations to understand and support the day to day opportunities and challenges facing the staff

  • Analyze data and reports to identify opportunities and make recommendations

  • Identify and mitigate risk factors that impact guests, employees, and the company

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage large teams in a remote environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment

  • 10+ years of leadership experience, preferably in an operations field

  • Experience building and scaling teams and systems

  • Experience effectively managing personnel conflicts

  • Ability to own and manage a P&L

  • Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail

  • Experience in an entertainment or ticketed entry environment preferred

  • Proficiency in our systems preferred:

    • Asana or the like

    • Domo or similar BI Software

    • Google Suite

    • Divvy, Mesh, or Ramp Payment systems

    • Square and Shopify POS systems

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, operations management or a related field

  • MBA, MAC or equivalent graduate degree preferred
