Galileo Financial Technologies, LLC seeks Senior Software Systems Engineer in San
Francisco, CA:
Job Duties: Build the future of Galileo systems with designs treating infrastructure as code.
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system
management tools. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure
availability. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible
solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes. Maintain security, backup, and
redundancy strategies. Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and
lower the human intervention time on any tasks. Partner with engineering teams in the design of
systems and infrastructure. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support. Liaise with vendors and other IT
personnel for problem resolution. Participate in deep technical design discussions within your
team, and across partner teams, and ensure that we are building the right systems and keeping
the quality high. Telecommuting is an option.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science,
Engineering, Management Information Systems, or closely related quantitative discipline, and
two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field, OR Bachelor’s
degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information
Systems, or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of progressively responsible
experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) 2 years of exp with AWS; (2) Ruby; (3) Python; (4) Bash; (5) 2
years of experience with Kubernetes; (6) Docker; (7) Jenkins; (8) Postgres; and (9) DynamoDB.
Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting
is an option.
Salary: $215,197.00 - $247,476.00 per annum.
