Senior Accountant

The Senior M&A and Strategic Projects (General Accounting) Accountant is responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial information and lead the general accounting processes.

What you will be doing:

• Help development and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes and procedures.
• Assist with monthly account reconciliation process for balance sheet accounts.
• Prepares journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensures compliance with GAAP, SOX and internal control policies and procedures.
• Supports M&A Activity by recording acquisition related activities, including opening balance sheet and monthly activity prior to integration
• Collaborates with various departments to ensure a successful integration of each acquisition.
• Supports lease accounting ASC 842 through Visual Lease
• Streamline the go-forward accounting of the acquired entities and aligning with the policies and procedures of Epicor.
• Evaluate areas of process improvements by leveraging automation.
• Provides assistance to external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Assists on special projects and provides ad hoc reports as needed.

What you will likely bring:

• Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
• Experience in evaluating and streamlining processes
• Experience with multi-company and multi-location environment
• Experience with international accounting, including multi-currency translations
• Hands-on experience with fully integrated accounting system
• Ability to multitask and shift priorities as needed to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and instill a sense of urgency
• Strong team building skills

• 3+ years accounting experience
• Public accounting experience a plus
• Experience with system implementations a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA License a plus
