The Job:

The PMO (Project Management Office) Manager in Epicor’s ANZ professional services team plays a crucial role in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget to maximize customer outcomes, satisfaction, revenue and protect margin. Responsibilities encompass a broad range of tasks aimed at standardizing project management processes, improving project outcomes, and supporting project managers

  • Strategic Roles - Developing PMO Strategy: Aligning the PMO's goals and objectives with the overall business strategy to ensure that project management practices contribute to the ANZ Practice success.
    Governance and Frameworks: Establishing governance standards and ensuring that the signature methodologies and appropriate frameworks for project governance to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
  • Operational Roles - Project Oversight: Monitoring and controlling project performance and progress, ensuring projects adhere to established standards and methodologies.
    Resource Management: Managing the allocation of project management resources across projects, ensuring optimal use of personnel, tools, and financial resources.
    Risk Management: Identifying potential risks across projects and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Supportive Roles - Training and Development: Providing training and development programs for project managers and team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
    Tools and Templates: Developing and maintaining project management tools, templates, and documentation to support efficient project execution.
    Best Practices: Promoting and facilitating the adoption of best practices in project management across the organization.
  • Analytical Roles - Performance Metrics: Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of projects and the effectiveness of the PMO.
    Reporting and Analytics: Creating and distributing regular reports on project performance, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Roles - Stakeholder Communication: Facilitating effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders, including senior management, practice managers, clients, and project teams.
    Continuous Improvement: Leading initiatives for continuous improvement in project management processes and practices.
  • Leadership Roles - Team Leadership: Leading and managing the PMO team, providing direction, support, and motivation.
    Change Management: Leading change management efforts related to project management processes and practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities Summary

  • Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement the PMO’s strategic plan aligned with the organization’s goals.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to project management standards, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Resource Allocation: Oversee the allocation and utilization of project resources.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on project performance, using metrics and KPIs.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development for project management staff.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder expectations and communication.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project management practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to present in sales meetings, face to face, or remotely.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, field consultants, executives, and co-workers
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management skill
  • Analyze customer problems and make recommendations for improvement
  • May work at client site from time to time
  • Ability to travel up to 30-40%.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to present in sales meetings, face to face, or remotely
  • Effectively communicate with customers, field consultants, executives, and co-workers
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Analyze customer problems and make recommendations for improvement
  • May work at client site from time to time
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
