System Specialist - L2 Support

As a Technical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, debugging, repairing, installing, and configuring complex computer systems, operating systems, technical applications, complex software, integrated peripherals, networks, and other complex electro/mechanical hardware. You will provide technical support to customers, fellow product support staff, field engineers, and technicians. We are seeking applicants with strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and strong problem-solving skills.
What you will be doing:
Confer with customers via web portal and email to diagnose technical and/or system problems, troubleshoot, repair, and test solutions.
Interact with customers in performing testing, support, and troubleshooting technical functions remotely.
Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
Provide expertise regarding installation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Epicor products, third-party software, component integration, operating systems, and complex technical software applications that tightly integrate with the main ERP software system.
Provide excellent customer management, including clear communication, responsive follow-through, and advocacy for customer issues.
Report design problems or bugs to the appropriate team and follow procedures to troubleshoot known issues.
Assist in mentoring other team members and contribute to and use the department’s knowledge base articles and FAQs.
What you will likely bring:
Strong technical skills with a desire to dig in and learn, and strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing, with a focus on providing a good customer experience.
Proficiency in PC skills, including email communication, Windows PC navigation, configuration, settings, and web research.
Ability to multitask and stay organized to produce quality work and manage day-to-day activities in the call tracking system.
Experience in two or more of the following areas: Windows Server 2012 and later, system administration or networking, SQL database management, and/or Oracle database management.
Capability to work on problems of moderate scope, requiring analysis of identifiable factors and exercising judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.
