THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Product Owner to join our growing product team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career to develop their product management skills in a fast-paced environment. The role reports directly to the Senior Product Manager.
As an Associate Product Owner, you will support the product team in delivering features for our web and mobile-based SaaS products. You will work closely with the Agile development, design, and product teams to help build tools that will power hybrid working for millions of people.
You will gather requirements, define clear user stories and prioritise the backlog based on customer feedback, product vision and business needs. You will work with the development team to deliver the backlog; coordinating effective rollouts across the business. You will communicate the product value and functionality effectively with our marketing, sales and customer success teams, giving you the opportunity to work across all parts of the business.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and prioritise requirements for our SaaS web and mobile products.
- Write clear, concise requirements and user stories for the design and engineering teams.
- Work closely with the product and the development team to deliver features and track progress.
- Coordinate with other product owners to ensure the delivery of a cohesive product.
- Work closely across all business functions (design, engineering, marketing, customer success, sales) to deliver the best products for our customers and our business.
- Gain exposure working directly with existing and prospective customers to understand pain points and build solutions to solve these problems.
- Gain a deep understanding of the customer experience and user personas to identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas to grow market share.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Some exposure to product development, product ownership, or business analysis in an Agile environment (internship or work experience).
- A passion for technology and problem-solving, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and a collaborative approach.
- Enthusiasm for hybrid working and creating solutions that benefit end-users.
- An interest in SaaS platforms and building user-friendly digital products.
- Additionally, it would be great if you have experience working in a fast-paced tech startup environment (internships or projects).
