About the Role

As a Credentialing Associate Manager at SonderMind, you will play a critical role in connecting providers to clients. The person in this role is expected to identify and implement continuous improvement of the credentialing operations processes, to deliver an ever-improving provider service experience, and to ensure adherence to credentialing policies and procedures, NCQA standards, and delegated payer requirements. The person in this position will report directly to the Manager of Credentialing Operations, will have a direct leadership role for a portion of the Credentialing Operations team, and will work closely with other functional areas including provider recruitment, provider success, revenue operations, etc. to promote the highest level of provider satisfaction and shorten the provider onboarding timeline. You will be at the forefront of our mission to make therapy accessible for all.

Essential Functions

  • Manage a team of credentialing associates who are tasked with onboarding new providers through the credentialing process (including PSV)
  • Investigate and resolve provider issues related to credentialing, collaborate with other departments, and ensure that all inquiries, concerns, and requests are addressed promptly and effectively
  • Ensure the team successfully achieves their goals and business objectives for your area of scope
  • Assist with NCQA Accreditation preparation, updates, and submission
  • Report to internal leadership on a regular basis identifying risks, mitigations, and additional opportunities
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively within established deadlines and metrics
  • Other responsibilities and ad-hoc projects based on business needs.

What does success look like?

  • Within one week, fully understand each step of the credentialing process at SonderMind.
  • Within two weeks, understand the metrics you are responsible for
  • Within one month, reach a level of efficiency across your duties, including owning the direct management of each of your reports.
  • Within two months, generate and implement at least one process improvement across all Credentialing activities.

Who You Are

  • Minimum two years experience in Credentialing, preferably in a leadership role
  • Minimum one year of Primary Source Verification experience
  • Experience working within NCQA Standards and a high working knowledge of the standards and updates
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • You’re intellectually curious and naturally pull the string until you find the answer
  • Motivated and eager to learn, ability to adapt to new technologies, processes and workflows
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Goal-oriented with a strong drive to achieve results at a team-level

The salary range for this role is between $60,000- $70,000 per year.
