We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop device software for energy monitoring.
Job Responsibilities
Vutility is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop device software for energy/utility monitoring applications. The best candidate will be excited to try new ideas and approaches to challenge old technologies.
The ideal candidate will excel at researching, designing, developing, and testing embedded solutions for proprietary IoT. You'll experience all phases of development, including design, prototypes, integrations, tests, manufacturing setups, and full production runs. It's exciting, it's always changing, and you'll never be bored. Be prepared to think outside the box regularly; we often create things in unexpected ways.
Skills
Required skills:
- Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- Must have 2-4 years of Embedded software experience in C
- Debugging tools such as GDB
- Python
- Git experienced
- Able to read and interpret schematics and datasheets for IC's
- Basic understanding of power circuits
- Translate product requirements into software development tasks
- Quickly develop proof-of-concept products
- Work effectively in teams
- Unit testing, regression testing, and automation
Preferred skills:
- Prefer a Master or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- Development of IoT sensors
- LoRa long-range radio used in IoT
- Sigfox long-range radio used in IoT
- IoT RF (Zigby, ZWAVE)
- Bluetooth App development experience
- Agile/Scrum process
- Electromagnetics
- Utility metering
